The Trump administration is reviewing military options following recent missile attacks on King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Saudi Arabia. These attacks, which occurred on Saturday, resulted in the deaths of 12 people and injuries to over 300 others.
Details of the Recent Attacks
The recent attacks on King Khalid Airport, the second-busiest airport in Saudi Arabia, occurred just days after the announcement of a major military operation by the Yemeni government, which is supported by Saudi Arabia. This operation began on October 4, and following it, multiple missile attacks were launched against Saudi airports.

According to reports, two other attacks occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday, with limited information available about them. One of these attacks at Abha International Airport resulted in the deaths of two women, one from Algeria and the other from Morocco. Additionally, an attack on KKIA led to the death of a Sudanese man.
International and Domestic Reactions
The spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, Major General Turki al-Maliki, stated that these attacks would not go unpunished and emphasized that Saudis would continue to defend themselves. Meanwhile, Houthi forces have recently warned that international flights and passengers should avoid Saudi airspace, which has been declared an open military operation area.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia also announced that operations at the country's main airports have been suspended and that they are assessing the damage caused by the attacks. Furthermore, the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh has warned American citizens to avoid KKIA and its surrounding areas.
Missile attacks on airports are considered a special strategy by the Houthis and a similar attack in 2019 on Abha Airport was condemned as a war crime by human rights organizations.
In light of these developments, Trump stated to reporters: "We may take action. We will look into this matter." These remarks come amid rising tensions in the region and public dissatisfaction in the United States regarding conflicts with Iran. In a recent poll, 69% of Americans indicated that they believe a war with Iran is not worth fighting.
