Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced on Saturday that it is time for a change in the presidency of Ukraine and accused Volodymyr Zelensky of being unable to conclude the war with Russia.

Criticism of Zelensky

Trump, in remarks made at the White House, said: "I suggest they find a new leader who can make a deal, and for some reason (Zelensky) never does that." He also referred to the state of the war in Ukraine, stating: "Zelensky has lost 30% of his country, over a million people have been caught in the crossfire, and over 2 million have lost their lives. This is a war that should never have started, and I think it is time for Ukraine to have a new president."

Warning to Kyiv About Attacking Russian Oil Facilities

Trump also warned Kyiv to refrain from targeting Russian oil facilities. He stated that he told Zelensky: "Do whatever you want against Russia, but do not damage the oil facilities." These remarks come as tensions between Ukraine and Russia remain high and the humanitarian situation in the region is affected.

Trump's comments follow increasing criticism of Zelensky's handling of the Ukraine crisis. Some analysts believe that a change in leadership in Ukraine could help alter the course of the war, while others point out that political changes during wartime could lead to further instability.

Additionally, Trump emphasized that the war in Ukraine must end as soon as possible and that the people of Ukraine deserve strong and effective leadership. He warned Zelensky that the continuation of the current situation could have serious consequences for Ukraine.
