Madri Gras, which has about 4,000 inhabitants, is located near the city of Albacete in the autonomous region of Castilla-La Mancha. In this incident, 90 residents were rescued due to the critical conditions. Local media reported that the elderly woman was found in her home, and the weather conditions severely impacted the daily lives of the residents.

Impact of Heavy Rainfall on the Region

This flood occurred following continuous and heavy rainfall on Friday. Spanish officials announced that approximately 140 liters of rain fell per square meter in Madri Gras. In the aftermath of this incident, Pedro Sánchez, the Prime Minister of Spain, announced via the social platform X that his government is monitoring the situation and expressed condolences to the family of the deceased woman.
