According to a new survey, 69 percent of this generation supports candidates who advocate for increasing taxes on the wealthy. This statistic reflects a significant shift in young people's attitudes towards taxation and social justice.
Survey and Its Results
The survey conducted by CBS and YouGov shows that this attitude in Generation Z is stronger than in previous generations. While Millennials and Generation X also tend to support increasing taxes on the wealthy, their percentages are lower than those of Generation Z. This growing inclination to support taxes on the wealthy among young people may indicate a major cultural and social shift.

Reasons for This Change in Attitude
Several factors may have contributed to this change in attitude. One of the main reasons is the increase in economic inequality in recent years. Generation Z has witnessed inequalities such as high education costs, housing, and healthcare, and these factors have fueled their dissatisfaction with the economic and social situation.
Additionally, Generation Z lives in a time when climate change and global crises are felt. This generation is well aware that the wealthy and large corporations play a significant role in these issues and therefore demand greater accountability from them.
As a result, Generation Z seeks to elect candidates who support fair tax policies and assure them that wealth and resources in society are distributed more equitably.
