Seyyed Abbas Iraqchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized on Sunday morning, October 12, during a meeting with ambassadors, chargé d'affaires, and heads of foreign and international representations residing in Tehran, that the Islamic Republic of Iran is serious and firm in defending itself and advancing diplomacy. He stated: If the enemies take the path of military confrontation again, they will face a response stronger than before.
Emphasis on Diplomacy and Dialogue
Iraqchi pointed out the effectiveness of Iran's presence at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, stating that this presence was due to numerous meetings and negotiations with foreign ministers of various countries. He emphasized the importance of diplomacy and efforts to find peaceful solutions, stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran is still ready to achieve a fair and honorable solution.

He mentioned that during this trip, a plan called "the seven-day plan" was presented to resolve existing disputes with the United States, adding that if this plan is accepted, the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened within seven days. Iraqchi also referred to the requests from neighboring and European countries for building trust and cooperation in the Persian Gulf, stating that this path is being well traversed.
Consequences of Military Confrontation and International Interactions
Iraqchi, in another part of his speech, referred to the movements of enemies, stating: "If the enemies again resort to military confrontation, our response will be stronger." He also mentioned the remarks of the NATO Secretary-General regarding the participation of European countries in the war against Iran and urged European countries to reconsider their approach towards Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also pointed to the negative impacts of sanctions on international relations, stating that there is no military solution and no solution based on further sanctions. He emphasized that the only possible solution is negotiation and dialogue based on justice and fairness.
In conclusion, Iraqchi expressed hope that the United States would move towards diplomatic solutions and stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran will take any necessary action to defend itself.
