He mentioned that fundamentally there was no plan for negotiations with the American side during this trip, adding: consultations regarding the two-day plan with the negotiation mediators are still ongoing and in the process of implementation, but we have not yet reached a definitive result. Achieving a result also depends on the responses that the opposite side provides to our questions.
Emphasis on the Rationality of the Opposite Side
The Foreign Minister emphasized that Iran is making its efforts to advance this path and expressed hope that there would also be rationality on the opposite side to prefer diplomacy over other paths.
Iraqchi, in another part of his remarks, referring to the orders of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to senior military commanders, stated: these orders clearly demonstrate the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Our armed forces also have a completely clear mission and, drawing on the experiences of the two past wars, are much stronger than before.
He concluded by emphasizing: the Islamic Republic of Iran remains simultaneously prepared for defense and diplomacy, and the path that the Americans choose depends on their rationality.
