Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, recently responded in a press conference to the new sanctions imposed by the United States against his country. Araghchi added: "The U.S. is only seeking to pressure the Iranian people with its sanctions, but we know very well that these pressures will ultimately fail." He emphasized that history has shown that the Iranian nation has always stood firm against challenges and pressures, and this time will be no exception.
Furthermore, the Iranian Foreign Minister advised U.S. officials to turn to diplomacy and dialogue instead of imposing sanctions. He stated: "Sanctions and pressure cannot lead to a lasting agreement and only add to existing problems." Araghchi also referred to the history of sanctions, stating that these policies have always failed.
