KLA Company has been named the best employer in the Asia-Pacific region for 2027. This list, which includes the top 500 companies, is based on job satisfaction surveys conducted from 2024 to 2026 and reflects the rapid growth of this region in recent years.
Significant Growth in the Semiconductor Industry
KLA, an American semiconductor equipment company, has approximately 17,000 full-time employees across 18 regions, with half of its workforce located in Asia. According to information provided to the Securities and Exchange Commission, KLA's voluntary employee turnover rate is less than 3.4%. The company invested in training and development last year, with employees averaging 38.3 hours of training in 2025. Additionally, the internal promotion rate at the assistant level has reached 78%.
Second and Third Places
In second place on this list is JPMorgan Chase Bank of the United States, which has seen its corporate banking revenue in the region grow by over 20%. The bank is also nearing the completion of a 15% increase in its workforce this year, following a 20% expansion in 2025. Australian design company Canva ranks third, followed by Microsoft in fourth place.
This list reflects the strong performance of major companies in the region. Of the top 50 companies, 16 are Japanese brands, forming one of the largest groups near the top ranks. Additionally, Sony ranks fifth and the Toyota Group ranks seventh. LEGO and Nintendo are ranked sixth and eighth respectively, while American parent company Google, Alphabet, is in ninth place.
Challenges Facing the Region
Despite the rapid growth of these industries, the region is not without global challenges. Following the emergence of artificial intelligence, employer demand in certain specific jobs has decreased. A report from the International Monetary Fund indicates that since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, employer demand in jobs such as programming has declined by nearly 10%. In this context, employers need to renew their hiring value and communicate transparently about job changes with their employees.
Overall, this list not only provides a clear picture of the best employers but also highlights the challenges and opportunities present in the Asia-Pacific labor market.
