The naked statue of Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has been unveiled in the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, France. This 2.5-meter statue, known as 'Orange Plague', depicts Trump sitting on the shoulders of a smaller man while holding a golden stick.
Details of the Statue and Its Message
The statue is covered in 23-carat gold and is also referred to as 'King of Injustice'. Next to this statue, cards explain that the 'King of Injustice' is sitting on the shoulders of a man who is drowning under the heavy burden. One of these cards states: "I will do anything to help him. Except get off his shoulders." This artwork critiques Trump for his obstruction of efforts to combat climate change.

Exhibition Location and Reactions
This statue is located at the intersection of two European Parliament buildings and is expected to remain there until Thursday. Pernille Skipper, a leftist Member of the European Parliament from Denmark who invited the artist, expressed that she is not concerned about Trump's reaction to the statue. She said: "If someone is so sensitive that they cannot tolerate this statue in the European Parliament, then they have no place on the world stage."
The President of the United States has yet to respond to this statue, which has previously been displayed in other European cities and also at the COP30 climate conference in Belém, Brazil.
