Only 4% of Americans associate elected officials with the word courage, as indicated by a newly released survey. This survey shows that this number is equal to the social media evaluation rate.
Survey Details
In this survey, participants received a list of 16 different groups of people and were asked which category of people they associate most with courage. The list included groups such as first responders, scientists, and military personnel. Ultimately, only 4% of respondents chose elected officials as individuals who possess courage.

Comparison with Other Groups
Compared to other groups, first responders topped the list with 32%, followed by military personnel at 27% and scientists at 23%. This survey also shows that social media, with 4%, ranks alongside elected officials at the bottom. This reality raises questions about public attitudes towards elected officials and their role in society.
These results seem to indicate a deep divide between the people and their elected representatives. While many Americans value courage, they do not seem to observe this trait in their officials.
