The police are investigating a security incident at Leipzig/Halle Airport that took place last night. This incident occurred after a drone carrying explosives was found at the airport. According to a police spokesperson, the damage was primarily due to a vehicle colliding with security barriers.

Security Background of the Airport
Leipzig/Halle Airport also made headlines in August due to the discovery of a drone carrying explosives. German officials at that time attributed the incident to Russia, but Moscow denied any involvement. This recent incident highlights ongoing concerns about airport security and potential threats from external actors.
Meanwhile, the German Minister for Development has called for the easing of debt-related laws to secure more financial resources to support Ukraine. This request comes as coalition talks between the left, green, and social democratic parties are underway to form a new government in Berlin.
