TIME and Statista have introduced the best employers in Asia and Oceania for 2027 for the first time. In a region that is rapidly undergoing economic transformation and where workforce expectations are changing, identifying employers who create outstanding work environments is essential. This ranking is designed to encourage companies to focus on employee well-being, development, and inclusion in their strategies.
Ranking Methodology
The ranking began with an initial pool of over 7,000 large and influential companies in Asia and Oceania. A rigorous three-step methodology was employed to identify the top 500 companies. Companies were eligible for consideration if they employed at least 1,000 people in the region and had operational activities in at least two markets within Asia and Oceania.

Survey and Scoring
The survey was conducted through several online panels to obtain a representative sample of employees across the region. Participants mentioned their current employer through an open-ended question with autocomplete capability. This method prevents companies from influencing respondents' choices. Over 80,000 employees, including full-time and part-time staff, participated in the survey.
The final score is a combination of two types of assessments: employees' willingness to recommend their current employer and, if applicable, their previous employer (direct score), as well as their willingness to recommend other employers in the same industry (indirect perception score). This score is based on data collected in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
An overall score was calculated for each company, with a maximum achievable score of 100. The 500 companies that received the highest scores were awarded the title of Best Employers in Asia and Oceania for 2027.
This ranking not only reflects employees' opinions about their workplaces but also mirrors how companies are perceived within their sectors, creating an independent assessment of the best employers in the region. The final list identifies organizations that have demonstrated a genuine commitment to their employees and serves as a reliable guide for job seekers and industry stakeholders across Asia and Oceania.
