Trump's Peace Team, led by Donald Trump, has proposed a six-month plan for the reconstruction and management of the Gaza Strip worth $2.45 billion (approximately €2.15 billion).

Details of the Reconstruction Plan

This plan was unveiled in a meeting on Wednesday and includes a roadmap of 66 projects aimed at initiating reconstruction in the region and overcoming significant challenges ahead. Trump's Peace Team emphasized that the need for reconstruction in Gaza is very high, and it is estimated that the total cost of reconstruction in the medium term will be around $35.2 billion and $71.4 billion over the next decade.

Projects and Needs of Gaza

The reconstruction and management projects include costs for repairing borders, revitalizing electricity and water infrastructure, deploying 25,000 portable solar kits, and permanently filling underground tunnels. This proposal also addresses support for Trump's 20-point plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the UK and a member of the executive board of this organization, pointed out the necessity of finding solutions instead of slogans, stating that the people of Gaza need practical solutions. However, nearly a year after the ceasefire was announced on October 10, the implementation of this plan still faces serious challenges.

Israel currently occupies about 60 percent of this territory and regularly conducts deadly attacks, which it claims target Hamas forces. Health officials in Gaza have reported that since the ceasefire, over 1,300 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have lost their lives.

Meanwhile, Hamas, recognized as a terrorist group, has not yet relinquished its weapons, although it has occasionally expressed its readiness to do so. Israel has stated that it will not withdraw from the occupied areas until Hamas is completely disarmed.

Nikolai Mladenov, the senior representative of the Peace Team, has stated that progress in this area is heavily dependent on the disarmament of Hamas but has also called on Israel to reduce its military operations.
