Young workers in India are increasingly turning to artificial intelligence (AI) to speed up their daily tasks, using it for researching news stories, translating texts, analyzing business data, and organizing legal documents.

Challenges of Using Artificial Intelligence

However, this technology can have errors, and over-reliance on it carries risks. Farah Kazemi, a 28-year-old journalist working for a news portal in New Delhi, has used AI in her reporting to find recent Supreme Court guidelines and cases related to dog choking. She says, "Using AI helps me spend less time searching for articles."

Diverse Experiences with AI Usage

Yajat Misra, a business strategy manager at Converia Chemical and Industries, also uses AI for data analysis and drafting initial documents, stating that this technology has helped him spend less time on repetitive tasks. Rakshanda Deka, a 30-year-old lawyer, uses AI to organize client documents and prepare lists of important dates, also pointing out the risks of incorrect information. She emphasizes that the use of AI should be done cautiously and requires human validation.

The use of artificial intelligence among young Indians has clearly increased. A survey by Deloitte shows that 93% of Generation Z and 95% of Millennials use AI in their daily tasks. Additionally, 82% of respondents aged 15 to 28 use AI tools at least once a week for learning or developing new skills.

Employers are increasingly looking for young professionals who can think critically and review work produced by AI. Deepal Gopchandani, founder of the recruitment firm Sinovore, states that AI is creating smaller teams and raising expectations from employees.

The changes occurring in jobs are clearly evident, and many experts believe that AI will have a significant impact on how work is done. Shrijay Shath, founder of LegalWiz.in, says, "The impact of AI on job profiles is a reality and is currently changing how work is done."
