Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, stated that his country would end its attacks on Russian oil refineries if it receives Patriot missiles from the United States. Zelensky mentioned in an interview with an American media outlet that he and his team have discussed this matter with Donald Trump and have requested assistance from the United States in response to Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Zelensky's Condition for Halting Attacks

Zelensky expressed that Ukraine cannot remain unanswered while Russia attacks its people and targets energy infrastructure. He added, "If you want us not to attack Russian refineries, they must not attack our energy system either. The other option is to give us Patriot missiles; we will find the financial resources, not just financial aid."

He also announced that if Washington supplies these missile systems for one month, Ukraine will also refrain from attacking Russian refineries for one month. In response to the question of whether he is concerned that this request might be seen as pressure on Trump, he said, "I have no concerns when I share the truth with my partners."

Hacking of Emergency Alert Applications

Currently, Ukrainian and Russian officials have reported the hacking of their emergency alert applications. The Ukrainian Air Force announced that the country's air raid alert application was hacked late Sunday, sending false alerts about nuclear and chemical threats to smartphones. The Ukrainian Strategic Communications Center identified Russia as the perpetrator of this hack.

Hours later, Moscow also reported the hacking of its Ministry of Emergency Situations application, describing it as a result of a "widespread cyber attack." The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations wrote on Telegram: "Attention! The mobile application of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has been subjected to a widespread cyber attack, allowing attackers to send false information to the public." The ministry also announced that officials are working to resolve this issue.

As a temporary ceasefire in the city of Ashki, Ukraine has ended, Ukraine has resumed its attacks on Russian oil refineries. Zelensky has clearly indicated that he needs military and weapon assistance to defend his country against Russian attacks, and this will affect the fate of the war.
