The Public Relations of the Islamic Republic Army announced that an American Lucas drone was hit and destroyed by the country's air defense systems in the skies over Bandar Abbas. This action was taken as part of Iran's integrated air defense network and in response to threats from enemies.
Emphasis on Regional Security
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister, emphasized the necessity of establishing regional security without the interference of foreign powers in response to recent developments. He explained that Iran's principled policy is to ensure security in the region by its own countries, and foreign interventions have not only failed to establish security but have also led to increased insecurity.

Araghchi also considered the Israeli regime to be the main factor of warmongering in the region and noted that Iran supports any movement that helps create endogenous security and reduce the presence of foreign forces. He warned about the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and stated that recent developments have changed the status of this waterway, and its routes will no longer be the same as before.
Status of Iran-U.S. Negotiations
Ismail Baqai, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, regarding the status of diplomacy between Iran and the U.S., said that Tehran has not left the negotiating table and messages continue to be conveyed through intermediaries. However, he emphasized that the main problem is Washington's insistence on unilateral demands.
Baqai also recalled the U.S. attacks on Iran amid diplomatic processes and stated that it is difficult for Iran to trust the statements of American officials. He emphasized that while pursuing diplomatic tools, Iran maintains full readiness to defend the country against any aggression.
Ibrahim Azizi, the head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, warned in a message in Hebrew about recent threats against Iran, stating that any action against the security and national interests of the country will face a response. He clarified that in the event of any action against Iran, the depopulation of the occupied territories would take less than an hour.
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasized that any aggression against the country will face a decisive response. In his pre-speech address to the Assembly, he referred to the threats from the U.S. against Iran and warned that the opposing side should not think that it can impose its will on the Iranian nation through military pressure.
Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani, the head of the Expediency Discernment Council, also criticized the recent positions of Western officials regarding de-escalation from the West's double standards. He emphasized that as long as the interests of Western countries are not affected, their calls for peace will not be loud.
Finally, Mehrdad Bazrpash, the former Minister of Roads and Urban Development, criticized the U.S. President's decision to attack Iran, stating that this war has become a factor against Trump's political credibility. Bazrpash reminded that the war against Iran was an unnecessary action that no one wanted.
Furthermore, the Islamic Resistance of Iraq attributed the Iraqi government's decision to stop activities at the Chazabeh border crossing and limit traffic at some crossings and airports to pressures from the U.S. and the Israeli regime, warning about the impact of this decision on the economic relations between Baghdad and Tehran.
