The former senator pointed out that choosing independent candidates could benefit the people and help Congress move away from extreme polarization. Manchin also stressed the importance of returning Congress to the political center, stating that this action could help address the country's fundamental issues.

Current Political Challenges
Manchin further addressed the challenges Americans are facing, stating that Congress should focus on agreement and cooperation instead of polarization. He also noted that people are looking for representatives who can be accountable to them and pay attention to the public interest. Manchin added, "Many Americans are tired of the current situation and are seeking change."
In this context, Manchin, as one of the independent political figures, has consistently emphasized the need for cooperation between the two major parties in the U.S., and it seems that this perspective has gained significant attention in the current circumstances. He also highlighted that choosing independent candidates could help create balance in Congress and prevent extremism.
