John Healy, the UK Chancellor, referred to the current financial situation at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool and stated that the money the Labour government of Tony Blair had in the 1990s is no longer available. Nevertheless, he promised to create more wealth for the country by supporting British businesses.

Support for businesses and economic growth

Healy informed attendees that London should not bear the economic burden alone and promised that any economic growth should be shared across the UK. He noted the financial challenges ahead and emphasized that the government must act in a way that alleviates financial pressures and ensures economic growth benefits everyone.

This Chancellor is facing a difficult economic situation ahead of presenting his first budget in a month. Analysts estimate that Healy has a financial space of between £8.5 billion and £12 billion, which is very low for achieving political goals.

Commitment to fiscal discipline

Healy, avoiding any announcements regarding the budget, referred to businesses that are concerned about a tax increase on October 28 and stated that fiscal discipline and support for British companies are key to his plans for growth anywhere in the country.

He added, "We need wealth to be created in more places, new levels of confidence, investment, and yes, profit to emerge. It is these businesses that will create the growth and wealth of this country."

Healy also criticized the previous Conservative government and other groups, stating that Nigel Farage, a well-known political figure, is nothing more than a version of Liz Truss with a Bitcoin account.
