Waiting Since Early Morning
Despite the high prices, many buyers stood in line early in the morning to purchase these phones. In Bangalore, one buyer named Rahul said he arrived at the Apple store around 5 AM and noticed that others were already in line. Rahul, who stated that he has bought one of these phones every year since the release of the iPhone 7, described the process as more than just a purchase, saying: "For me, it's like a celebration. The iPhone launch is like a festival. Every year I try to buy an iPhone."

Traveling to Be First
At the Apple store in Noida, one buyer announced that he traveled from Punjab to Noida to buy this phone and had been standing in line since 6 AM to be the first to enter the store. He said: "I am the first person to receive the phone."
The price increase of this year's iPhone 18 Pro to 164,900 rupees (1,500 euros, 1,720 dollars) and Pro Max to 179,900 rupees (1,635 euros, 1,900 dollars) at the base level indicates a break in the trend of keeping launch prices stable in India. This comes as India's per capita GDP is projected to reach 2,702.5 dollars by 2025 according to World Bank statistics.
