Opposition leader and Congress party president, Rahul Gandhi, is scheduled to march towards the Supreme Court of India today at 4 PM local time (10:30 AM UTC). This march is aimed at intensifying protests against the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar.
Protests and Arrests in Delhi
This action comes a day after reports of widespread arrests of protesters, journalists, and lawyers in Delhi. The Janata Party (CJP) has also supported this march. The Congress party had previously requested a meeting with the Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, to discuss issues related to vote theft, but he declined the request and referred to the matter being under review in the Supreme Court.

Security Situation in Delhi
The capital of India continues to witness disorder and chaos, as protesters continue their demonstrations demanding the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar. These protests have erupted following recent reports of Kumar's unilateral decisions that have led to widespread disenfranchisement of voters.
The INDIA opposition alliance intends to submit a memorandum to the Chief Justice during this march. Meanwhile, the Delhi police have announced that Jantar Mantar, designated as the site for protests, has been removed from the list.
On October 2, the Janata Party (CJP) announced that it would protest at Jantar Mantar, the designated site for protests in Delhi, on October 10, demanding the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar. In anticipation of these protests, security measures have been heightened at several locations in Delhi, with local reports indicating the deployment of over 30,000 security personnel in the city. Internet access has also been cut off within a 4-kilometer radius of Jantar Mantar.
On Saturday, the Delhi police blocked routes leading to Jantar Mantar to prevent the protests. Roads have been filled with buses for the detention of protesters, and parts of Delhi have been locked down. Immediate protests have also occurred in Connaught Place and Safdarjung, where protesters were widely arrested and forcibly taken to buses.
In addition to protesters and CJP party leaders, several lawyers and journalists have also reportedly been arrested by the police. The police have conducted widespread arrests citing the prohibition of unauthorized public gatherings under Section 163 of the Indian Citizen Security Act.
