Two local government employees in Bavaria were shot dead during a routine inspection of legal firearms. The incident occurred in the village of Berngau in southern Germany, and the ٦٠-year-old suspect was arrested after a lengthy ١٢-hour standoff with police.
Details of the Incident
The two employees, a ٤٥-year-old man and a ٥٤-year-old woman, had gone to the suspect's home to check compliance with the storage of legal firearms. Police believe the suspect opened fire on the two employees during the inspection. Reports indicated that gunfire was heard at ٢ PM local time, leading to a large police operation.
