Marine Le Pen, the President of France, has initiated a process in 2030 with major changes in her country and the European Union that shows no signs of slowing down. The Berlaymont building, which houses the European Commission, has been converted into the National Sovereignty Ministry, and the thirteenth floor, which is the workplace and residence of Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, has been turned into a cat café.

Destruction and Occupation of Buildings

Many other buildings in the European Union area in Brussels, now known as the Twenty-First Arrondissement, have been demolished. Some have been occupied by former EU staff who have refused to leave the buildings and formed working groups to create a roadmap for returning to the EU that Le Pen has severely dismantled.

While most EU institutions and agencies were quickly shut down, there is still an official EU office located in a corner of a branch of the Exki sandwich shop near Schuman Square. This office is run around the clock by Maroš Šefčovič, one of the EU officials, who is available with a number of brochures.

Consequences of Le Pen's Victory

Le Pen's victory in the 2027 presidential election over Kylian Mbappé, who was chosen as a moderate candidate, not only caused changes in France but throughout the European Union. In her speech in Brussels, Le Pen announced that she would turn the European Commission into a "secretariat" serving the member states and would completely eliminate some institutions. These statements shocked many Europeans who were even unaware of the existence of these institutions.

The European Parliament building still stands, but it is now strangely occupied by zombie-like creatures wandering aimlessly in the hallways. No one can distinguish between these creatures and the former staff of the Parliament.

Ursula von der Leyen returned to Germany in response to Le Pen's promise and unexpectedly ascended to the Chancellorship, being appointed as the new Chancellor of Germany in place of Angela Merkel, who had come out of retirement.

Currently, Brussels is considering whether Le Pen might change her approach like Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy. The future of Schuman Square depends on this issue.
